Fate was the most appropriate word to describe the reason for the events that occurred the evening Nasomii met Siranas. If she hadnt escaped from the orphanage, she wouldnt have come across the fairy. More importantly, she wouldnt have been there to save his life.
Siranas and Nasomii questioned each other for quite a while after the golem incident. Questions filled Nasos head, and she wanted nothing more than to satisfy the curiosity in her. Nasomii sat on the damp grass with her legs crossed, her hands open and resting on her legs. Siranas flew over and sat on her palms. Nasomii smiled to herself, thinking that she may have gained a bit of the fairys trust. Afterall, she could squish him with only a tiny bit of effort if she wanted to. Still, Nasomii hated the idea of hurting anyone, friend or enemy. As the night went on, the fairy and panda only grew more and more comfortable with each other. The fairys personality changed so drastically from when they first went. Once sarcastic and cynical, Siranas was now proving himself to be genuine and sort of silly. He fluttered his wings and made faces at Nasomii, and they giggled together, laughing at everything. Im an orphan too. Siranas told Nasomii. She frowned a little, and thought of her parents. Who do you live with? She asked. Nobody. Siranas said quietly. They were both in the same sort of situation. It felt good for Nasomii to find someone to spend time with. Her fears of being alone vanished that night. She knew she could stick with the fairy. With those thoughts clouding her head, the panda girl finally felt safe. She thought about where she had planned to sleep for the night, but decided to sleep right where she was. She found comfort in the fairy, and that was all she needed.
Nasomii squinted her eyes at the sun beams shooting down at her, as she thought about whether last night was just an elaborate dream. She got up slowly, looking for the fairy. Her heart began to race as the time went by. Where is he!? She exclaimed under her breath. She felt a rush of panic come over her. She rushed over to the tree where she slept and looked around frantically. Her eyes rested on the fairy lying on the tree branch above her head just as she had remembered. Sira, wake up! Nasomii said, letting out a sigh of relief. The fairy didnt move. Nasomii moved in closer, examining the fairy. He wasnt breathing. Her vision blurred, her head began to spin, and her knees felt weak. She thought he was dead. She couldnt focus her thoughts. Finally Nasomii closed her eyes and a word popped into her head. Healing. I have to heal him! Nasomii said. She thought about the things she had learned in the orphanage. The only healing spells she knew were to heal cuts and cure headaches. She thought of the words used in the spells. Nasomii began to say random words from the spells, in no particular order. She was desperate to save the fairy. Beams of light shot from Nasomiis hands, giving her a burning sensation. She concentrated on transferring the magic from her body to the fairys. She didnt know what she was doing, but whatever it was, it was working. The fairy began to breathe heavily, coughing out what appeared to be black dust. He did this for a few seconds, and then he stopped. He began to breathe normally. Nasomiis eyes widened, not having expected her fake healing to actually work. Siranas? She asked in a nervous whisper. The fairy looked at her with an awestruck expression. Im alive? Siranas asked himself. Youre alive? Nasomii echoed. Siranas stood up slowly, stretching his limbs. You saved my life? Siranas asked, as he shot Nasomii a confused look. I think I did. Nasomii said quietly, still stunned by what she had just done.
