The reality of how dangerous the situation really was crashed down on Nasomii. She thought about the risk he was taking confronting the witch. While she was in the orphanage, she was taught to avoid anyone who knew magic. Unless of course, they were healers. As a matter of fact, almost all young children in Ulaid were taught to avoid wizards and witches. They were infamous for being untrustworthy and dangerous. Healers were considered to be the polar opposite. They held a high place in society. Still, healers and wizards seemed to have a good relationship. Nasomii remembered the healers at the orphanage. She had seen wizards sneak into the orphanage countless times, always to speak to the healers. This made Naso question the stereotype of wizards and witches. There are always good and bad people she thought to herself. That was the sort of thinking that made Nasomii so different from most of her peers. She had no problem questioning authority, and she seemed to question it more than embrace it in most situations. It was that trait that helped her develop her own odd interests. She loved magic. She pictured herself as a healer. She wanted to help people and save lives. She also wanted to develop relationships with people who entered the forbidden world of combat magic. Witches and wizards enticed her, and she wanted nothing more than to learn more about them.
Naso, I need to look for Ezran. Siranas said as he walked towards her. Nasomii felt her muscles tense. Who is Ezran? She asked. Siranas looked away for a moment, fixing his eyes on the tree beside him. The witch. He finally said. Oh. Naso said quietly, beginning to frown. I want to come with you! She blurted out, without really thinking it through. Siranas looked back at Nasomii, eyes widened. Is that supposed to be funny? He asked nervously. He laughed to himself for a moment. Its not funny. You need me! I can heal you if she hurts you. Naso insisted. Naso, you got lucky. Im grateful you saved my life, of course. But youre not a healer. Not yet, at least. It takes years of schooling to become a healer. Siranas said. Nasomii slumped against the tree. I just want to help. Ive studied a little healing. I could give it a shot. She pleaded. Siranas sighed, studying her pathetic expression. She was wearing her panda robe, which made her adorable enough. To make matters worse, she was pouting. You can tag along. Im not guaranteeing you get in on the action. He said, hoping shed smile. Nasomiis eyes lightened up, and she gave him a beaming smile.
Siranas had repaired his weapons and Nasomii picked up a few healing supplies before they took off to see Ezran. They were headed for Emain Macha, a city quite far from Tir. How long until we get there? Nasomii asked, as she trotted along. Itll take around three days of continuous walking. Siranas said, as he casually glanced over to see her reaction. Nasomiis eyes widened and her mouth fell open. Siranas began to chuckle, and he quickened his pace. Nasomii noticed him moving faster and tried to keep up. She made her steps wider, striding towards him. Nasomii started thinking about the adventure they were on, and before she knew it she was lost in thought. She felt her legs getting tired, and her feet started to feel numb. She glanced over at Siranas, studying the profile of his face. Although he was undeniably adorable as a fairy, there was something equally attractive about him as a boy. But it was a different kind of attractiveness. He wasnt cute. He was handsome. Nasomiis thoughts drifted to Siranass eyes. And although her thoughts couldnt be heard, she still felt her cheeks getting hot, and her eyes losing focus. It was then that Nasomii tripped over a rock on the path. Ouch! She exclaimed as her face hit the ground. Siranas quickly turned around to see Nasomii laying face down on the dirt, her legs askew and her arms beneath her. His initial reaction was worry, as he ran over to her, kneeling down next to her. Are you okay?! He asked, a little stunned. Nasomii closed her eyes, too embarrassed to look at him. Naso? He asked, a little more worry in his voice. She slightly opened her left eye to take a peek at him, and she saw his jaw getting tense as he reached toward her shoulder. She knew if he touched her, shed blush even more. That was not an option. She forced her eyes open. Im okay. She finally said, grimacing. Siranas let out a sigh of relief. Nasomii tilted her head up a little bit, trying not to focus her eyes on him. Siranas noticed her bright pink cheeks. And although he felt bad that she tripped, he felt laughter burst through him. The image was too much to bear. His laughter only grew as she pulled her hands from beneath her, and lifted herself up. Naso, youre blushing. He said, eager to see her response. Nasomii tried to relax her face, but it took a lot of effort. He tried to hold in his laughter, but it was impossible. She started brushing the dirt off of her robe, waiting for him to stop laughing. Adorable. He managed to say, and his laughter began to subside. Nasomiis robe was now clean, and she looked up at him for a moment. Are you hurt? He asked. No. She said, glad she didnt sound as flustered as she felt. Sorry for laughing, He started, fixing his grin into a frown. I couldnt help it.. Nasomii thought about the awkwardness of what had just occurred, and she pictured her face a bright pink. She burst into laughter, accepting the hilarity of the situation.
